FOCUS
Coventry Workers’ Comp Services (“Coventry”) provides clients with access to some of the most well-known and highly-regarded provider networks in the nation. The FOCUS Network, created in 1986, The First Health Network, introduced in 1982, and MetraComp, were combined in 2007 to form the Coventry Integrated Network. Through the combination of these networks, the Coventry Integrated Network offers clients enhanced value by providing increased cost savings, improved communications, superior claims outcomes, service innovation and reliability.
As a part of the Coventry Integrated Network, participation in FOCUS offers providers the benefit of having Coventry actively market your practice to insurance carriers, third-party administrators and employers within your area.

Information for FOCUS Providers
FOCUS Healthcare Management (“FOCUS”) recognizes that our success is related to our working relationships with the medical provider community. In our continuing efforts to make the data we use to review medical bills more available and accessible to Participating Providers, we are providing specific information applicable to the workers’ compensation and auto provider bill review program.
FOCUS works with medical providers as well as workers’ compensation and auto claims payors to forge effective partnerships that provide quality health care to patients, benefits and growth opportunities to medical providers, and cost savings to payors. FOCUS currently operates one of the nation’s largest workers’ compensation and auto PPO Networks. The FOCUS network is integrated with bill review programs for payors of workers’ compensation and auto claims that uses sophisticated software systems to review medical provider bills.

Steerage
FOCUS has found that our customers that institute certain steerage practices related to workers' compensation claims often see significantly greater participation in the PPO Networks by our clients' beneficiaries. Steerage of workers' compensation beneficiaries to Participating Providers benefits Providers by increasing the volume of patients they treat through the PPO Networks and benefits our customers by lowering their health care costs for relevant medical claims. However, even though FOCUS cannot guarantee steerage of patients to Participating Providers, we will promote the steerage of patients, consistent with applicable state law by FOCUS customers.
